- Sharon Gee Added April 07, 2022★ ★ ★ ★ ★Use your swipe cards (purchase from Echidna Place Information Centre on Dowling Street) to gain access to the Old Hospital, Old Jail and Hydroelectric Power Station). This was a great display of how the hydroelectric power first started in Thargomindah. The pump actually starts which was cool to watch and if you go outside you can feel the warm water which has come up out off the bore. Some interesting old artefacts outside and also a working windmill. Great work, Thargo!
